Medical Massage

Medical Massage

Our medical massage techniques are effective for a wide range of medical issues, including migraine headaches, chronic neck and back pain, chronic fatigue, stress and tension-related problems, and muscle spasms. Medical massage improves circulation and blood flow to specific areas, and can also improve muscle tone, motor control, posture, and increase range of motion.

Medical Massage Techniques

CranioSacral Therapy (CST)

A gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the function of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system. It is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. CranioSacral Therapy improves the functioning of the central nervous system.

CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including:

Migraine Headaches

Chronic Neck and Back Pain

Chronic Fatigue

Stress and Tension-Related Problems

Somato Emotional Relief

A therapeutic process that uses and expands on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy to help rid the mind and body of the residual effects of trauma. SERI offers applications designed to enhance results using CST and other complementary therapies.

Lymph Drainage Therapy

Through the process of gentle touch, the specific rhythm, direction, depth and quality of the lymph pathways are checked out, and alternate pathways are encouraged for draining body-fluid stagnations.

Visceral Manipulation

A gentle hands-on therapy that works through the body’s visceral system (the heart, liver, intestines and other internal organs) to locate and alleviate these abnormal points of tension throughout the body.

Dr. Daniel Cosgrove

“We Welcome Brenda Burger at our WellMax facility and feel she is a great addition to the types of services we have to offer. I have referred patients to Brenda and have been a patient of Brenda’s many times over the years. Although she had her own office, we are now honored to have her bring her practice into our clinic. She calls me “Western-trained” and I admit that beyond her musculoskeletal and neuromuscular work, I don’t understand all these “energy” therapies (see therapies listed above). However, as a patient, if I can get therapeutic results without surgery, pills, or shots, and I truly feel much better, then I love it!”
