All core testing is done in one day. Most patients arrive in the morning and leave that same evening. A follow-up consult with Dr. Cosgrove (in person or via Zoom) is scheduled within 2–3 weeks to review everything in detail.

FAA Certification

Yes. WellMax provides FAA medical certification, including FAA First Class, Second Class, and Third Class exams. Our FAA medical examiner supports pilots with medical certification requirements, including complex cases and follow-up documentation.

Dr. Cosgrove is a Senior FAA Aviation Medical Examiner, authorized to conduct First, Second, and Third Class medical exams for pilots, air traffic controllers, and commercial flight applicants.

1st Class Medicals should be renewed every 6 months if over 40 years of age, and every 12 months if under 40 years of age. Second Class every 12 months, and 3rd Class every 24 months.
